Silicone sheets and silicone films, due to their advantages of high-temperature resistance and waterproof sealing, are widely used in electronic accessories, medical consumables, kitchenware packaging, etc. The core problem of these materials is their strong adhesion and the tendency to be scratched on the surface. During die-cutting, they are prone to sticking to the spring pads, resulting in edge burrs, incomplete die-cutting, insufficient anti-adhesion properties of conventional spring pads, and high hardness, which can damage the silicone surface and make it difficult to meet the die-cutting requirements of silicone materials. In terms of material optimization, special low-friction anti-sticking elastic materials are used, with nano anti-sticking components and anti-scuffing additives added. The friction coefficient of the spring pad surface is controlled below 0.05, completely solving the problem of silicone sticking to the spring pad and avoiding indirect scratching of the silicone surface by the knife edge. This ensures that the surface of the silicone sheet/membrane is smooth and free of scratches. The optimized material has an elasticity recovery rate of over 97%, with a compression permanent deformation rate of ≤ 3%. It provides a gentle and uniform buffering pressure, avoiding excessive pressure that causes silicone deformation or collapse of the die-cut edge, while ensuring thorough die-cutting without any connection points or burrs.
In terms of structural and process compatibility, for the thin and stretchable characteristics of silicone sheets/membranes, ultra-thin high-precision spring pads ranging from 0.4 to 0.8 mm are launched. The thickness error is controlled within ±0.01 mm, ensuring uniform pressure across the entire sheet/membrane and avoiding silicone stretching deformation. The seven-axis precision cutting process is adopted, with no burrs or warping edges on the spring pad, precise alignment with the knife plate, and elimination of missed cuts and overcuts. For the waste removal requirements of silicone die-cutting, micro-drainage patterns are added on the surface of the spring pad to guide the silicone waste to quickly separate, increasing the waste removal efficiency by more than 40%. After applying this solution to a silicone electronic accessory enterprise, the silicone sheet die-cutting sticking rate decreased from 10% to 0.1%, the scratch rate dropped to 0.05%, production efficiency increased by 30%, and it fully met the die-cutting quality requirements of silicone products.
