Shenhua Printing Plate Knife Pad: Foam Composite Cushion Integrated Die-cut Anti-Compression Adaptation Solution
The integrated die-cutting of EVA foam, IXPE, pearl cotton composite paperboard / film is widely used in cushioning packaging, inner lining positioning, and shockproof packaging. The material itself is soft and compressible, with strong elasticity. The conventional elastic pads have high hardness or uneven pressure, which will directly depress and flatten the EVA foam, resulting in uneven thickness of the inner lining, failure of cushioning, and dimensional shrinkage after die-cutting. Meanwhile, it is prone to cutting failure, connection points, and embedded waste materials. Deephua Printing Materials adopts a pressure-resistant buffer design to solve the problem of die-cutting for soft composite materials.
It adopts a double-layer differentiated hardness structure: the upper layer is an ultra-soft buffer layer (Shore A 30-38), which does not compress or depress the EVA foam surface and retains the original thickness and cushioning structure of the EVA foam; the lower layer is a high-rebound support layer (Shore A 50-55), which ensures sufficient pressure at the knife edge position to achieve complete cutting, without connection points or burrs. Through the layered structure, the contradiction between "pressure resistance" and "cutting without failure" is balanced, avoiding the trade-off caused by a single hardness.
Due to the characteristic of EVA foam easily rebounding and lifting waste materials, the surface of the elastic pad uses a non-stick and anti-slip coating, which not only does not stick to the EVA foam debris but also fixes the material position at the moment of die-cutting, preventing rebound displacement; the thickness specification covers 1.5-3.5mm, suitable for different thickness EVA composite materials. The uniformity of hardness across the entire plate is high, and there will be no local collapse or local inability to cut through. After being applied by an electronic cushioning packaging enterprise, the failure rate of EVA inner lining due to depression dropped from 11% to 0.5%, and the size and thickness consistency of the die-cut products met the standards for shipment. The cushioning performance fully met the shipping standards.
