Non-woven fabrics, spunlace fabrics, and needled fabrics are widely used in medical dressings, cleaning cloths, mask filter materials, home textile packaging, etc. These materials have loose fibers and low tensile strength, and during die-cutting, they are prone to problems such as fiber fraying, edge fraying, fabric thread pulling, and waste material adhesion. The conventional elastic pads have hard pressure transmission and do not match the surface friction characteristics, which will significantly increase the defective rate and the cost of manual edge trimming. Deephua Printing Materials has developed special knife plate elastic pads to achieve stable die-cutting with smooth edges, no fraying, and no edge shedding.

In terms of material formulation, low penetration and highly compliant elastic materials are used, with the basic hardness set in the Shore A38-45 range. Soft buffering is used instead of rigid impact to avoid fiber breakage and fraying caused by the knife blade forcibly pressing; the internal structure of the material adopts a dense and homogeneous cross-linked structure, combined with surface matte treatment, with the friction coefficient controlled within 0.10, which not only does not cause the fibers to stick together but also reduces the dragging and pulling of the fabric surface during die-cutting, thereby reducing the probability of shedding. The rebound curve adopts a slow rebound and balanced release design, with gentle pressure application to prevent instantaneous high pressure from breaking the fabric layer and pulling the fibers.

In terms of structure and process, ultra-thin and precise models (thickness 0.6-1.5mm) are used, with a thickness tolerance of ±0.02mm, to ensure uniform pressure across the entire sheet and prevent local excessive pressure from causing fabric surface damage; the edges of the elastic pads are all treated with low-temperature passivation sealing, without sharp edges or burrs, and will not scratch the fabric surface during feeding and die-cutting; for continuous roll material die-cutting, micro-drainage textures are added on the surface to facilitate the removal of loose fiber waste through the waste discharge system without accumulation or secondary adhesion. After being applied by a certain medical non-woven fabric product enterprise, the edge fraying and shedding defect rate decreased from 12% to 0.3%, the manual flame / edge trimming process was cancelled, the production efficiency increased by 40%, and the cleanliness and appearance qualification rate of the finished products met the standards for medical consumables.
