Shenhua Printing Material Knife Plate Cushion: Three-dimensional texture / Relief paperboard die-cutting anti-collapse buffering solution

Gift boxes, tobacco and alcohol boxes, and cultural and creative packaging with three-dimensional textures, embossed patterns, fine corrugations, and concave-convex structures are prone to problems such as texture collapse, local collapse, line deformation, and paperboard delamination during die-cutting. The conventional shock pads have a single hardness and a hard buffer curve, which will directly transmit the die-cutting pressure to the three-dimensional structure, damaging the original shape of the paperboard and can only reduce the production speed and pressure to achieve low efficiency and yield. Deephua Printing Materials adopts gradient buffering and zone hardness design, and introduces a special shock pad for three-dimensional texture paperboard, achieving the dual goals of "complete cutting + complete texture".

The core design is a layered gradient buffering structure: the upper layer is a flexible bonding layer with Shore A40–45 hardness, which softens and adheres to the three-dimensional undulations of the paperboard surface to avoid rigid compression and texture collapse; the middle layer is an equal rebound layer, ensuring sufficient pressure at the die-cutting knife position to achieve complete cutting without any connected points or burrs; the lower layer is a rigid supporting layer, maintaining the overall stability and preventing excessive depression in the knife line area, causing dimensional deviations. The three-layer structure is integrated as a whole without layering or detachment, and the pressure transmission curve smoothly transitions, protecting the three-dimensional structure while ensuring cutting accuracy.

For fine corrugated and easily delaminating composite paperboards, the surface of the shock pad is treated with a micro anti-slip treatment. During die-cutting, the paperboard does not shift, and with an appropriate buffering amount, it avoids texture collapse and corrugation flattening around the knife line. At the same time, based on the texture depth and paperboard thickness, multiple thickness options of 1.0–3.0mm are provided. Customers can directly select according to their own product structure without repeated debugging. After being applied by a high-end gift box manufacturing enterprise, the collapse and scrap rate of embossed and textured paperboard die-cutting decreased from 8.5% to 0.6%, the die-cutting pressure and speed could be restored to the normal die-cutting level, production efficiency increased by 35%, and the qualified rate of complex structure gift boxes formed in one go significantly improved.
