The production mode of multiple varieties and small batches with rapid changeover has become the mainstream production pattern in the printing and packaging industry. During the changeover process, the sticking, positioning, and replacement of the elastic pads often consume a significant amount of time, and the conventional elastic pads are difficult to reuse after being stuck, resulting in waste of consumables and low production efficiency. Deephua Printing Materials has addressed the pain points of rapid changeover from three dimensions: back adhesive optimization, positioning design, and improvement of reusability, and has created a dedicated elastic pad solution for rapid changeover, significantly reducing the changeover time and lowering the waste of consumables.
In terms of back adhesive optimization, an innovative reusable and high-temperature-resistant back adhesive has been adopted, which is different from the conventional one-time adhesive. This adhesive can be repeatedly stuck 3-5 times while maintaining strong adhesion. After removing the elastic pad during the changeover, cleaning the surface debris can re-stick it to the new die plate without the need for a new elastic pad, significantly increasing the reusability of the elastic pad and reducing consumable waste; at the same time, after removing the back adhesive, there is no residue, avoiding the time-consuming cleaning of the die plate, further shortening the changeover process.
In terms of positioning design, precise positioning scale lines and positioning holes are added to the surface of the elastic pad, combined with the positioning marks on the die plate. Operators can quickly align and stick it to the position without repeated adjustments, reducing the average sticking time from 15 minutes to within 3 minutes; for standardized die plates, modular and connectable elastic pads have been launched, and during the changeover, the corresponding module can be directly retrieved for connection without separate cutting, further improving the production efficiency.
In addition, the toughness and tear resistance of the elastic pad have been optimized to ensure no damage or deformation during repeated sticking and removal, and the performance attenuation rate of the reused elastic pad is controlled within 5%, which can be normally adapted to common cutting scenarios. After applying this solution to a multi-variety color box enterprise, the changeover time of a single production line was reduced from an average of 1.5 hours to 30 minutes, the reusability of the elastic pad increased by 60%, and the annual cost of elastic pad waste was reduced by nearly 20,000 yuan, perfectly adapting to the production rhythm of rapid changeover.
