Shenhua Printing Plate Knife Pad: Special Adaptation and Performance Guarantee for Low-Temperature Die-cutting Process

The low-temperature die-cutting process is widely used in fields such as heat-sensitive materials, easily adherent films, and low-temperature storage scenarios. The core requirement is that the die plate spring pad should maintain stable elasticity, adhesion, and structural integrity in an environment below 0°C. Conventional spring pads tend to experience problems such as gel hardening, cracking, and back adhesive loss in low-temperature conditions, directly leading to loss of die-cutting accuracy and production interruption. Deephua Printing Materials focuses on the pain points of low-temperature die-cutting and through material formula innovation and process optimization, has developed low-temperature-specific die plate spring pads, achieving long-term stable operation under extreme low-temperature conditions.

In terms of material research and development, Deephua Printing Materials breaks through the bottleneck of traditional rubber's low-temperature performance, using hydrogenated nitrile rubber and special low-temperature elastomers for blending technology, combined with special low-temperature toughening agents, to reconstruct the molecular chain structure of the material, significantly improving the low-temperature toughness and rebound stability of the gel. This spring pad can work normally in extreme low-temperature environments ranging from -40°C to 0°C, with a rebound rate of over 90%, without hardening or cracking, and a compression permanent deformation rate of ≤ 6%, far exceeding the performance standards of industry low-temperature spring pads. At the same time, customizing low-temperature-specific back adhesives, through low-temperature adhesive strength enhancement treatment, can still firmly adhere to the die plate in -30°C environments, with a peel strength 40% higher than that of conventional back adhesives, avoiding pad displacement and detachment.

For different low-temperature scenarios, Deephua Printing Materials provides differentiated adaptation solutions. For die-cutting of heat-sensitive materials (such as labels for low-temperature refrigerated food), an adaptability of low-hardness low-temperature spring pads (Shore A 40-45) is provided to ensure gentle rebound and avoid material damage due to low-temperature brittleness; for die-cutting of thick packaging in low-temperature storage environments, a medium-hardness low-temperature spring pad is selected to balance buffering performance and pressure transmission efficiency, ensuring complete cutting of thick materials; for ultra-low-temperature laboratory die-cutting scenarios, a special formula spring pad can be customized to adapt to extreme low-temperature conditions below -40°C. After being applied by a certain low-temperature food packaging enterprise, the low-temperature die-cutting defective rate decreased from 15% to 0.7%, the pad replacement cycle was extended to 25 days, and the low-temperature cutting problems were completely solved.
