Shenhua Printing Materials Knife Plate Spring Pad: A Guide for Replacing New and Old Spring Pads, Seamlessly Connecting the Production process

The replacement of the spring pad of the die-cutting plate is a routine operation in post-press processing. If the replacement process is not standardized, it can easily lead to problems such as decreased die-cutting accuracy, equipment failure, and production stagnation. Based on years of industry experience, Shenhua Printing Materials has formulated a detailed guide for the replacement of new and old spring pads to help customers standardize the replacement process, achieve seamless production connection, and avoid losses caused by improper replacement operations.

Before replacement, preparations should include "three checks and one match". First, check the condition of the knife plate, clean the oil stains and glue stains on the surface of the knife plate, and inspect whether the blade has chipped edges or deformation to ensure that the knife plate is in good condition. Secondly, check the pressure parameters of the die-cutting equipment, record the current equipment pressure, speed and other values, which is convenient for quick debugging after replacement. Check the specifications of the new spring pad again to confirm that its thickness, hardness and size match the knife plate and production requirements, so as to avoid replacement failure caused by non-compliant specifications. Finally, prepare dedicated installation tools such as scrapers, pressure strips, and cleaning cloths to ensure a smooth replacement operation.

The replacement operation follows a four-step process of "disassembly - cleaning - installation - commissioning". When disassembling, use a special tool to slowly remove the old spring pad to avoid violent tearing that may damage the knife plate. During the cleaning process, wipe the mating surface of the knife plate with a neutral cleaner to remove any residual glue stains and impurities. After it dries, proceed with the installation. When installing, precisely align the new spring pad according to the contour of the knife plate, press and fit it in sections, use a scraper to remove air bubbles between the spring pad and the knife plate to ensure there are no wrinkles or misalignment, and finally fix it with a pressure strip. During the commissioning stage, the equipment is started for trial operation, and the pressure and speed of the equipment are gradually adjusted. The precision of the die-cut samples is compared until the production standards are met. The entire replacement process can be controlled within 20 minutes.

After replacement, three points should be kept in mind: First, within the first hour of operation, check the fit and resilience of the elastic pad every 15 minutes to promptly identify and address any abnormal issues. Second, within 24 hours after replacement, avoid high-speed die-cutting. Use medium and low-speed operation to ensure that the spring pad is fully compatible with the knife plate. Thirdly, properly handle used elastic pads. Shenhua Printing Materials can provide recycling services for used elastic pads, helping enterprises practice the concept of green environmental protection. Following this replacement guideline can ensure a seamless transition between new and old spring pads, guaranteeing continuous production and stable die-cutting quality.
