Analysis of the Basic Understanding and Core Characteristics of knife plate Spring Pads
The ejection rubber is an indispensable auxiliary accessory in the die-cutting processing industry. It is mainly applied in the knife plate components of equipment such as flatbed die-cutting machines and rotary die-cutting machines. Its core function is to provide uniform pressure buffering for the knife plate during the die-cutting process through its own elastic deformation, ensuring that the die-cutting edge can smoothly and accurately contact the processing material, while reducing the wear of the edge. Improve the edge quality and processing efficiency of die-cut products.
In terms of material composition, the mainstream material for ejection rubber is polyurethane (PU), while in some special scenarios, materials such as rubber and silicone are used. Polyurethane material has become the preferred choice in the industry due to its excellent elastic recovery, wear resistance, oil resistance and anti-aging properties. Its hardness range is usually between 25° and 85° on the Shore A scale and can be adjusted according to different die-cutting requirements. In addition to the material, the key physical parameters of the knife plate spring pad also include thickness, density and tensile strength. Among them, the common thickness specifications are 1mm-10mm, the density is generally between 0.9g/cm³ and 1.2g/cm³, and the tensile strength needs to reach above 10MPa to meet the requirements of long-term die-cutting operations.
From the perspective of structural classification, ejection rubber can be divided into three basic types: flat plate type, striped type and mesh type. The flat sheet type spring pad has a simple structure and uniform pressure transmission, making it suitable for die-cutting of thin and light materials such as ordinary paper and film. The striped elastic pad has parallel grooves on its surface, which provides better exhaust performance and can prevent material wrinkling or inaccurate die-cutting caused by air residue during die-cutting. It is suitable for thick materials such as corrugated paper and cardboard. The grid-shaped spring pad has both exhaust and pressure dispersion properties, making it suitable for high-precision and complex-shaped die-cutting processing, such as die-cutting of electronic tags, anti-counterfeiting labels and other products.
